At ITEC, together with your support, we are continuing to stand strong and do all that we can to ensure the essential needs of Israel’s children are met during these horrific times.
Last week we shared with you ITEC Initiatives which are still ongoing, in addition to those programs we have embarked on the following efforts:
ITEC Emergency Relief Vehicle — An ITEC team, including a psychologist, is visiting ITEC children from Southern border communities to provide basic items and emotional support, using the first of what we hope will be several Emergency Relief Vehicles, serving children and their families throughout the country.
Converting Centers into Community Hubs — Where it is possible to open in compliance with the Home Command’s Order, ITEC is allowing the community to use our centers to help address community needs. In Sajur, a blood drive was held for the village with 100 Druze community members showing up. In Beer Sheva, an entire room has been converted into what is being called, “an oasis of joy” where board games and toys are being collected to be distributed throughout the South and North of Israel.
Safety Protocols — In preparations for the re-opening of our Centers, ITEC is reviewing safety protocols for all 24 locations and identifying needs such as additional bomb shelters and security personnel on-site to keep our children safe.
If you want to support our work, you can do so by contributing to our Emergency Campaign.
