Dan started with ITEC 45 years ago in 1977, when, as a top ranked US Junior player he travelled throughout the US and Canada coaching the first team of children to help fundraise for the dream that has become ITEC’s 17 centers, today the largest Tennis education Institute in the world under one roof. 

Dan credits ITEC for inspiring him to make Aliyah In 1990. A graduate of Harvard and Reichman Universities, he is former Secretary General of the World Jewish Congress and previously served as Knesset reporter for Israel’s Channel One News.

Today, Dan is a Foreign Policy Research Fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. He is author/ editor of five books on the global BDS-campaign. Professor Alan Dershowitz called Dan’s most recent book, Israelophobia and the West, “The Bible for Understanding the New Anti-Semitism”.in 2022 Dan was appointed policy advisor to the Knesset Caucus to counter BDS, antisemitism and political warfare.

Dan has said that ITEC’s pathbreaking system of excellence based tennis and education is helping transform Israel’s Jewish and Arab communities, and since the historic Abraham peace and Normalization Accords- the Middle East and beyond.
