As part of the Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation’s annual exhibition swing, a team of Israeli junior tennis players will compete and share personal stories about what the ITC has meant to them and their families.

The Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation will begin its annual exhibition swing this week in Wellington, with additional stops planned for Palm Beach Gardens, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and Boca Raton.

The nonprofit ITEC, which is dedicated to empowering children through sport and education to foster lasting peace, will host its High Performance Tennis Exhibition at 12 locations throughout the state.

The first stop is set for Wycliffe Golf & Country Club Thursday, and will continue with stops Friday at The Country Club at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens; March 2 at Tivoli Lakes Tennis Club in Boynton Beach; March 4 at Addison Reserve Country Club in Delray Beach; and March 9 at Frenchman’s Creek Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens.

Three stops are planned for Boca Raton – March 11 at St. Andrews Country Club, March 12 at Woodfield Country Club, and March 16 at Boca West Country Club – and four others are scheduled for Naples, Tampa, Sarasota and Coral Gables.

The exhibition will feature a team of Israeli junior tennis players “Playing for Peace” and also sharing personal stories about what the ITC has meant to them, their families and the communities in which they live.

The team includes a group of student-athletes from culturally and religiously diverse backgrounds in Israel, ranging in age from 12 -16.

It includes a Christian Arab and a Muslim Arab, as well as an Ethiopian Jewish coach.

The players are among the thousands of children who are impacted each year by the Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation, which was formed in 1976 in an effort to enhance the development of Israeli youth through sports.

ITEC’s social impact programs serve 20,000 children each year, including those at risk, immigrants from countries around the world like Ethiopia and Russia, and children with special needs.

“We are thrilled to provide our children the opportunity to travel to the US and serve as youth ambassadors for Israel in communities abroad,” Jacqueline Glodstein, ITEC’s Executive Vice President of Global Development, said in a statement. “It is phenomenal to witness how much these children learn through this unique educational experience and meet the wonderful people who support them.”
