ITEC uses the power of tennis and education to embrace children who have gone through significant hardships, illuminating a path of hope, growth, and opportunity for every young heart in need across Israel. Regardless of background, religion, or ethnicity, ITEC lays the foundation for a stronger, more harmonious Israel.
With 17 centers and seven satellite facilities strategically located across cities and towns throughout Israel, ITEC is pivotal in supporting children facing adversity. These centers cater to children from challenging home situations, those with special needs, and those at risk of unhealthy lifestyles. Notably, several facilities are situated in the South, including Ashkelon, Beer-Sheva, and Ofakim—as well as in the North, including Kiryat Shmona–areas significantly affected by ongoing conflicts.
ITEC has been quick to respond to the urgent needs of children and families during times of crisis, particularly following the brutal October 7th attacks. Operating six days a week during critical out-of-school hours, ITEC’s centers serve as community hubs where children engage in tennis and various recreational sports. These facilities, however, provide more than just sports; opportunities for socialization with friends, mentorship from adults, and moments of normalcy and joy during highly stressful times.
We hope you join us in our Chicagoland exhibition to hear stories directly from children of these programs.
