A recent article on tennisconsult.com describes the five ways parents can know if their child’s sports development is going properly. One of the main points is that sports is a way for children to not only develop their athletic skills but, more importantly, their social skills to better interact with coaches, teammates and family members when not playing sports.
Here at the ITEC we emulate this important message every single day. We teach thousands of children from all backgrounds to not only become better athletes but better people. Through our Coexistence Program, we bring together Arab and Jewish children on the same court to learn about each other while teaching understanding and respect for what each child has to offer. It is a great way to create lasting friendships in one of the most conflicted regions of the world.
