ITEC alum Dudi Sela has won in the first round of Olympic Men’s Singles Tennis against Bosnian Damir Dzumhur. The match lasted 1.5 hours and included an odd five-minute break when Dzumhur stopped playing and said he was being cursed at from the stands. The Bosnian’s coach was forced to turn to the stands and shout at the fans to settle down. In both sets, Sela took an early lead and kept it up easily against Dzumhur.
Dudi will go on to the second round of the Olympics tennis championships where he will face the winner of the match between Belgium’s David Goffin, ranked 13th and Australia’s Sam Groth. Good luck, Dudi! We will be cheering for you! Follow us here for updates.
