The Jacobs family — Michelle, Joseph and David — opened their Palm Beach home for an evening to benefit the Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation.

The ITEC event took place March 14.

Richard and Barbara Rothschild served as chairman and chairwoman for the reception, which included cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, the chance to chat with the members of the Israel Tennis & Education Centers’ 2019 Winter Exhibition student team, and brief remarks from Jacqueline Goldstein, executive vice president for global development.

“This is a life-changing opportunity for these children,” Goldstein said. “To actually come to the U.S., meet the people that support them and gain a greater understanding of what’s possible for their future. We are so grateful to those who lead by example and give these children a chance for a bright future.”

Also in attendance was alumnus and legendary Israeli player Amos Mansdorf, who is known for holding the highest ranking achieved by a male player in Israel, No. 18 in the world.

More than 70 people attended the “Party With A Purpose.”

Proceeds from the evening assist the Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation in its mission “to empower children through social impact programs and by providing a safe, structured and nurturing environment.” Founded in 1976, the organization serves more than 20,000 children in Israel each year.
